About us
You might not have heard of this mouse but perhaps you have heard its roar. Lauwers Games or LG in short entered the game scene in 2002 and has launched some very exciting games over the last couple of years of which several million games have been sold & licensed.
Our Company
Lauwers Games (LG) is a Belgian based SME. That is the game inventing company behind game inventor Arne Lauwers. LG is creating games intended for the mass market. You can find our games worldwide and we work both with leading players as with small companies.
Our Games
Our flagship reference is 'Pictureka!': Game of the year in Australia (2008), France (2008), Russian Federation (2007); Miglior Concept Artistico, Lucca - Italy (2006). We licensed this game to Hasbro. Today 'Pictureka!' has become a whole product line, including platform versions for the Wii, PC and DS.
Our ‘Compact Games’, so far a range of 3 travel games, listening to the names ‘Pon-Pon’, ‘3-2-1’ and ‘Parachute’ have been awarded the ‘Innovation Award 2008’. For the E.U. we licensed these games to University Games and they will come to the market in 2010.
For the South East Asian market we are offering a special version of our card game ‘+/-’. It is being sold in Thailand in partnership with Solid Enterprise.
Our President
Arne Lauwers (°1966) is a Flemish game inventor. This master in Chinese culture has globetrotting as a hobby and is an aficionado of good food & drinks. He is a non-conformist who loves to pioneer and hates ties & suits. In 2002, he left his position as CEO of his own private school to start a career as a game inventor. Over the years, he has travelled the world to show his games. This has lead to many wonderful experiences, a bunch of friends all over and a soft spot for SE Asia.
IP & creativity & partnership
Arne Lauwers created the game mechanic to all his games. As a result he & his company LG own all IP rights and both cover everything that is related with the design, concept, translations, format… Sometimes LG licenses a game, sometimes they distribute it themselves. Depending on what business model works best for both parties. We like to be present on both established markets as on emerging markets. All our partners work directly with us, no agents or in-betweens are needed. This results in bigger margins and fast negotiations. We are also able to work in a flexible way allowing both alterations in shape and content of our games, so they are tailor-made for our customers.
